Bio

Phillip brings the heart of humanity to organizations and has a special affection for technology organizations. He is a personal and organizational development leader and has been called on for developmental and evolutionary coaching of both people and systems. Clients describe Phillip as playful, bold, curious, and knowledgeable. Most importantly, they appreciated his ability to listen and bring them to their edge for growth.

Phillip’s professional experiences span over 30 years, including as an Executive and Business Agility Coach at Accenture, Director of Organizational Development for Starbucks, and Transformation Coach at Microsoft, Tableau, Alaska Air, and REI. Phillip has held many roles in tech, from engineer to VP, including two operational positions in tech startups, including co-creating the product and company from the ground up at his first startup. Phillip combines practical experience and sense-making with a drive to be fully human at work and in life. His coaching philosophy rests on the belief that making an effort to get credentials is important, but living life fully and being a compassionate human matter most.

Phillip can be counted on to be passionate about creating a space of personal and organizational awareness and growth. He believes in the full possibility of people being the author of their lives and creating organizations where they thrive. He specializes in helping individuals and organizations with emotional intelligence, culture work, mission, vision, and values. He has deep expertise in agile methodology and helping leaders thrive in agile environments.

He holds his Professional Certified Coach Credential (PCC) through the ICF and is certified to administer the Leadership Circle Profile and Integrative Enneagram. He also has training in Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC) and Internal Family Systems. In 2018, Phillip began an experiment with life as a “digital nomad” and challenged himself on what the concept of “home” means. What he found is we are always at home in self.
