This brief biography summarizes my educational background, my history as a consultant, the recognition I have received, and the research I have published.

Education: I earned my masters and doctoral degrees at Indiana University.

Communication consulting: I am the founder of CommuniSkills where my co-workers and I have taught over 500 business writing and oral communication classes for the Procter & Gamble Company as well as for MicroSoft, Meta, General Electric, AK Steel, Nestle, General Cable, and SC Johnson Wax among other clients.

I authored Power Communication, a book on effective business writing and speaking. I am also a certified trainer in Crucial Conversations and Crucial Accountability, programs that help people to improve communication skills in high stakes interactions.

Career Communication: I am an expert in career communication, having counselled hundreds of job seekers and written a book, Career Strategies, on this topic.
