👋 Hi there,
If you’re reading this document, it means that we’re strongly considering your application to join Exec. The goal of this document is to give you context about our platform and partnership so you can make an informed decision about moving to the next stage.
We built Exec to help coaches, trainers, facilitators, and consultants turn the work they love into a livelihood. To support that mission, we designed the Exec platform to give members autonomy and opportunity.
Here are some of the reasons why our members love partnering with Exec:
Win new clients without selling – We do the heavy lifting to sell companies and enroll employees, so you can sit back and let business show up on your calendar.
Set your rate – You decide what you want to charge for each type of session, and we’ll do our best to match you to the right clients.
Attract the right type of clients – Get matched with quality clients who are aligned with your specialty.
Control your own schedule – You decide how many hours you coach and when you’re available. Our simple scheduling process gives you all the flexibility.
Don’t stress about getting paid – Credits land in your account as soon as your engagement ends. Payments are issued twice per month.
Earn passive income – We make it easy for you to earn money when you help bring business into the network.
We recorded this video to give you some context on what our coaches like about working with Exec. We hope you'll find these insights useful!
One reason that we’re able to be a consistent source of bookings for the coaches in our network is because of our referral program. It allows new coaches to start off on the platform with new business and gives our established coaches a reliable way to get new bookings.
In order to start getting consistent business from the platform, new coaches are first asked to refer new businesses to the network. Here are a few reasons why coaches like this system:
Income earning opportunities Simply by connecting us to a new client, you earn 10% of whatever credits that client ultimately purchases from the introduction. So, if a client buys 1,000 credits, you would earn 100 credits (which translates to $6,000 of income!).
We do the selling for you All you need to do is provide a warm introduction, and we will handle the rest. You can be as involved or hands-off as you want to be.
Early bookings On top of the income you generate from the referral, you get a priority position to service the account that you help bring business to Exec. That means we make sure you are one of the selected coaches the employees can choose from, and we prioritize your corporate training programs.
Preferred Member status Once you earn ten credits (either via bookings or referral bonuses), you’ll be elevated to Preferred Member status. This means you will show up as a top search result for clients and get select service opportunities for other clients within our network.
Become the beneficiary Because each new coach is asked to bring business into the network, coaches who have already become Preferred Members stand to benefit from extra bookings from the new business other coaches are bringing in.
Our referral process is designed to make it easy for you to introduce Exec to your network while also respecting the time and desires of your contacts. Here’s how it works:
We send you a list of your Linkedin contacts who we think would benefit from our offering
You let us know who’s a fit and who you’d be willing to forward an introduction to
We send you personalized intro requests for each person
You forward them with some context and connect us if the person is interested.
We believe in “double-opt in introductions” and only target individuals we think would benefit from our offering.
In order to provide a genuine endorsement of Exec to members of your network, it’s important that you fully understand the benefits of our platform from the perspective of the companies and employees we serve.
Since you won’t necessarily have an opportunity to coach on the platform before sharing Exec with your contacts, we wanted to make sure that you have all the information you need to believe in the value proposition.
The reason why companies like to work with Exec is that we offer them:
We work with less than 1.6% of the 16,000+ coaches that have applied to Exec. Companies love we have vetted and curated the best coaches while having enough scale to match each employee with a coach who understands their function and/or industry (which is something many of them value).
Since we have such an expansive network, we can provide many different services, including:
Coaching (leadership coaching, performance coaching, communication coaching, career coaching, sales coaching, etc.)
Training (change management, new manager development, DE&I, communication, productivity, etc.)
Facilitation (group coaching, team building sessions, company offsites, leading group meetings, etc.)
Assessments (DISC, MBTI, Hogan, Strengths Finder, etc.)
At Exec, we use a credit system that allows companies to stretch their talent development budgets much further. With our credit system, companies only spend budget when their employees meet with our coaches. There are no employee minimums, no annual contracts, and no subscription fees. Companies allocate credits to their employees to spend on coaching sessions and can reallocate unused credits for up to a year after purchase.
Our technology platform allows companies to customize their coaching programs to fit any use case. Our platform offers features like:
Marketplace Curation – At the start of any engagement, we work with a client to curate a marketplace for them of professional development providers, products, and services that are well suited to their goals. For example, many leaders want our help building a bench of culture-aligned coaches that will send the right message to employees based on their company culture.
Budget Allocation – With our credit system, companies can easily allocate budget to individual employees or groups based on program goals. Any credits that go unused can also easily be reallocated to new employees or different programs.
Population Customization – Our customization features make it easy to perform a second level of marketplace customization at the employee, team, or program level to give people leaders tighter control over who gets access to which products and services.
Reporting – Exec is constantly collecting data from feedback from employees about their interactions and sentiments that allows people leaders to gather insights into their program, make adjustments, and create compelling cases for program expansion.
The following video will walk you through the slide deck that we typically share with customers so you can get familiar with our value proposition.
This platform demo will give you a better understanding of what it’s like for companies and their employees to use the platform. Keep in mind that we are constantly releasing new features, so the live platform might be slightly different!
Finally, one of our key differentiators is the quality of coaches on our platform. We've included a sample of our coaches here so you can check out their profiles and vet them for yourself.
We hope this document has given you some useful context on Exec. Undoubtedly you will still have plenty of questions that we can answer during the rest of the application/onboarding process.
If you feel ready to proceed to the next stage of the application process, please email Nick (nick@exec.com) and Sabrina (sabrina@exec.com) to let them know you’re ready to proceed to the next stage. After that email, here’s how the rest of the process works:
Exec’s partners meet to discuss the applications of any interested members. You can expect to receive a decision from us within a week of your email.
If you’re invited to join the network, you’ll receive an agreement form to sign, we’ll conduct a background check, and gather references from the contacts you gave us in the initial form you filled out.
From there, we will start getting you set up on the platform and kicking off the referral process.
